Refurbishment of the ground-floor common areas of the historic Hotel Excelsior, overlooking the Lungarno in the heart of Florence. Works included the complete renovation of the reception, restaurant, library and welcome areas, within a prestigious building set in one of the city's most complex and heavily touristic urban contexts.

The project was carried out under particularly tight time constraints linked to limited hotel-closure windows and the need to guarantee the ongoing operation of the property. The Lungarno location and high tourist footfall required careful phasing of the works and close site management, aimed at minimising impact on hotel operations and the surrounding urban context.
